Grow Green. Go Big: The Green Growth Jobs Accelerator launches Digital Learning Offer

February 2025  – The Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Programme (GGJAP) is making significant headway in promoting sustainable economic development and creating green employment opportunities.

A key advancement is that GGJAP celebrated the successful completion of its first accelerator cohort. The participating companies showcased creativity, adaptability, and the ability to implement scalable business strategies to advance green growth initiatives and create jobs. Over the course of five months, these businesses received extensive training in areas such as marketing, business operations, financial management, legal compliance, and impact measurement and management. They now possess the knowledge and resources to expand their operations sustainably. Following this success, the second accelerator cohort began implementing in Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, and Jordan in December 2024.

Furthermore, the programme has launched its Digital Learning Platform, featuring a series of training courses for startups, MSMEs, and aspiring entrepreneurs. The first course, “Greening Your Company 101,” went live on February 3, 2025, and a subsequent course focusing on Impact Measurement and Management is slated for release in June 2026. Forthcoming courses will tackle subjects like funding opportunities (including investment, lending, and blended finance models) and leveraging digital technologies for increased efficiency. All courses will be presented in Arabic, English, and French.
